Any advice on making a chicken eat?

Thank you so much, @sixlittlechickens. This is amazing. Her crop does feel squishy. I don't know if it's enlarged because I couldn't find a crop on the only other chicken who let me capture her for comparison. The patient is drinking (and I haven't smelled anything sour/yeasty, though I may go...

Any advice on making a chicken eat?

Thank you both. No, we haven't checked for a blockage - good idea. It could be impacted crop, actually, per the description @sixlittlechickens linked, because she's been drinking a lot. How do you find the crop and know whether it's full?

Any advice on making a chicken eat?

She seems fine except 1) she's shaking her head every few minutes or seconds as if to shake something off and 2) she hasn't eaten with any regularity in a week and a half. She's interested in food in theory - she'll peck at kale, for instance, and until she got too weak and tired, she was...

    Chicken shaking head? Mystery symptoms?

Update: She ate a few bugs yesterday, groomed herself, and scratched around in the dirt (in slow motion, as if remembering how to be a chicken), so I was really hoping she was feeling better. But today she is back to sitting in the shade shaking her head. :( I don't think she can make it much...

    Chicken shaking head? Mystery symptoms?

Update: She is alert and drinking (including medicated water), but not eating, and prefers not to socialize or run around like usual. We squirted two types of anti-coccidia medicine down her throat yesterday, along with Nutri-Drench; she struggled more the second time, so we hoped she was...

Lethargic, possibly dying Andalusian - not eating or drinking

Thank you. No, not yet, and I'm not sure we can afford to do so. We're planning to squirt extra Corid down her throat later today, since she hasn't been drinking a lot and we know the flock has coccidiosis, but if coccidiosis isn't causing the problem, that won't help.

    Chicken shaking head? Mystery symptoms?

About a month ago, we lost a chicken to a mystery illness - scans revealed an enormous, possibly malignant tumor on which the vet could not operate, so we had to put her down. We now have another chicken with the same exact symptoms - she's lethargic, she's lost interest in things she loves, she...

Lethargic, possibly dying Andalusian - not eating or drinking

Thank you both for your replies. The vet said she had a tumor, most likely malignant; we put her down on April thirty-first. We now have another chicken with the same symptoms, however, and I really don't understand how we could have given two chickens cancer.

Lethargic, possibly dying Andalusian - not eating or drinking

Hello! One of our Andalusians is badly sick, but we don't know what's wrong. She has an appointment at an animal hospital tomorrow morning and, if possible, I'd like to keep her alive until then. She's been lethargic for about a week, and it's only gotten worse over time. She eats and drinks...
