    I'm leaning toward s her being a he but I'm not sure. Three pea comb but not much darker than the sister. But much much lighter than the barred rock roo. In the last pic he is in the top left where you can't see his head but gives a side view. Too early to tell?

    Here's my girls! They were sold as Americaunas at the feed store, but from what I read here, they are usually actually Easter Eggers! Excited either way since I've never raised chicks. Is there a general final coloring that goes with the chipmunk coloring?

    Thank you for the wonderful information. We picked up two sweet little Americaunas (although I suspect they are actually Easter Eggers). They had silkies that I wanted so bad but opted for the sexed chicks.

    Also My mom mentioned that the meat gets tough the older the chicken gets. Will a 4-5 (or whenever they stop laying) even be worth eating?
