    Double Shelled eggs??

    I went to the nesting box today to collect eggs and found this oddity... I haven't cracked open the inner egg but it's a hardshell egg inside of a softshell egg. I read that this happens when an egg, ready to be laid, reverses direction and gets a new layer of albumen and a second shell.

    Is this a rooster?

    This beauty is my 18 week old blue laced red Wyandotte. There has been no cock-a-doodle-doing so far but when comparing "Cutie Fluff" to my other BLRW it seems pretty obvious that this is a rooster. Any thoughts?
