    Do you think it's okay to let him sleep in the basement or something, so he will not disturb the neighbors early in the morning? Is it cruel to take him away from the rest of the flock at night?

    Thank you! I suspected it's an Easter egger too after I did my own research. Yes, it is showing copper color already. The kids already named it and we are attached to it. So no way we are getting rid of it even if it's a boy!

    The employee said she was sure that was a female Smokey Pearl.They labeled female Smokey Pearls and unsexed another breed next to each other and put all the chicks in one tub. If they had been just honest and told me they can't really tell, I would have left the store without buying any chicks...
