    Ah she's just camera shy. She's had her tail very high before and now. So high I said, does that mean a rooster too and my daughter said no, legbars have a very high tail.

    Oh really. I do hope so. I am wanting to move somewhere to where I can have roosters, but I can't do that yet and we so much love this new chicken. Why do you say it's a pullet please? I'm not an expert on cream legbars (either).

    Just an update on this quail. Turns out this is a boy...and lovely. His bent toes would go back out of shape after an hour or so but not so badly. What we did was put the little strap bandages on his bent toes four times (for about a day) and then about a day break between each. After four times...

    We are thinking to keep on for two days then have a break so she can stretch it out and we observe the curling and how bent it still is...then maybe another two days if necessary...Anyway, giving it a go. She's walking around fine with the others atm and the strapping is holding.

    She does straighten them by herself sometimes, so they don't always look like this. This is just when they look their worst. It couldn't be broken if she sometimes straightens them herself, right? The bootie didn't work - her toes were still curled to the side even though the position was right...
