She died of fatty liver hemorrhage. Rest of the girls are on a strict diet now, treats only once a week. Not including fresh fruits and vegetables.
Sorry your girls aren't doing well :( heartbreaking honestly.
Rats are no joke, I have lots of traps around my run under milk crates whenever...
So this morning my 2 year old Easter Egger was slow getting off the roost. I noticed she is very pale and lethargic. She was fine yesterday. she was also panting. It has not been overly hot in CT.
Brought her in, did a check for mites and lice Nd found nothing.
Gave her a dropper full of...
She had her second birthday this week. Has put weight back on and hasn't had a reoccurance yet.
She lays sporadically but not with any regularity. Appetite is good, poos look good, and behavior is normal.
I know the likelihood is high it will happen again and she may not make it, but at...

35 weeks and no crow or egg :lau
Had to trim her poof because she liked matting up her fluff in mud. Weather here in New England has been screwy this year. small comb and small wattles still. Have caught her walking around the coop during daylight hours so maybe soon!
She doesn't seem to be uncomfortable at all (well considering she does not like being in the ICU cage but we thought we'd keep her there at least for the night and tomorrow so I can get 24 hours of antibiotics in. Chasing her through the run to get her to take her meds when she is sloughing off...
