    i have a Mille Fleur Bearded d'Uccle Bantam Rooster, & i wanna get a Hen the exact same breed, ive been feeding my Rooster cracked corn with grit mixed in & ocasionally i give him whole Oats & Winter Wheat & ocassionally a small handful of Layer pellets not alot, he likes them he gobbles them...

    How to prevent frostbite?

    when its in the Teens or single digits at Nite i run Vasaline on My Hens & Rooster Combs it works good its a protective coating on there Combs to prevent them from geting Frostbite

    This is True my Hens eat Big Pine shavings too so now i know not to use wood shavings for Coop floor beding or nesting box beding they eat tons of it witch isnt good for them could cause Impacted crop someone told me that on BYC

    normally i use Straw for my Coop Floor & nesting box beding but i just wanted to try Pine wood shavings in my nesting boxes to see how the Hens would react to them, i mite just stick to Straw in my Nestn boxes for Beding

    wow sounds like a mean 4 year old Rooster no wonder the Hens Roost/sleep far away from him at nite, they dont like him i dont blame them poor Hens
