    I have the oyster shell in a separate dish. I will start addin it to feed. Thank you all for your help. As a new chicken owner, I appreciate all the help I can get.

    The texture seems to be the same as the other eggs. It was just layed this morning. I am not sure which chicken layed it. We have six mature hens and twelve young ones. When I checked the boxes this morning it was there. We also have 9 - 10 differnet breeds. They get chicken pellets...
