    Buff Orpington hen not laying

I have a camera in the coop, I can know what colors are coming from which chickens. I’ve only had 5 eggs max, out of 6 chickens.

    Buff Orpington hen not laying

She acts very normal. I haven't checked for a swollen belly or her vent. I can do that. I haven't tried the calcium citrate + D3 but I can. I just picked her out of the flock, I may have just picked an older layer. Thank you for this info and the kind words

    Buff Orpington hen not laying

I have a buff Orpington hen I got from someone and she is allegedly about 1.5 yrs old now. I got her on Halloween ‘24. She hasn’t laid an egg yet, all the other hens are laying. Any idea what breed this might be?

She has black tail feathers and she is currently molting. Some of her feathers are half red/half black (on one feather). She hasn’t laid yet so I’m not sure what color her eggs are.

Easter Eggers - Roosters? Hens? 12-13 weeks old

I don’t have a very good photo of this pullet but maybe someone can tell from the plumage, does this one seem to be a hen? It has the puffy cheeks and hasn’t changed color. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Easter Eggers - Roosters? Hens? 12-13 weeks old

I am new to chickens and I have three pullets I think might be Roos. I’m not sure what they’re crossed with but they’re Easter eggers. The rust coloring is coming through on this white and black one.. I’m thinking that’s a roo. This white and orange one I think is a hen. But not for sure. The...
