Learning one day at a time how to keep my chickens alive.

I have Golden, a big mix rooster, a white Leghorn hen named Sunny, a Wyandotte hen named Summer, Speckles the Tricolor Dominant, Snowy the Darkshell, Shady the mixed breed, and many others. Current population is 38 hens, 1 rooster.

I also have 15 ducks.

I live with my parents.

I've lost 11 adult chickens, lost ~10 chicks and butchered 3 chickens. Acknowledging my casualties and keeping track of them is how I cope.

I am very forgetful so I post in forum and status whatever I found important enough to write down about my chickens(and other poultry if I have them)

Inconsistently online.

I yap a lot. This is something I’ve struggled my whole life and I will admit my summary skill is in the void. I am so sorry.
