    Yes, that's normal chickens will leave their nest once a day to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom, so your eggs should be fine!

    I fully understand... just putting it out there! And I'm about a 16 hour car ride to Atlanta and I wouldn't want to put them ( or you ) through that, I hope you find someone! And if not you have me for a backup plan.

    Not currently, she's gets particularly feisty when she's broody, so it's hard to get eggs from her to candle but I try to get pictures tonight when she's more docile.
