- to learn more about raising chickens. I've been raining chickens off and on my whole adult life. However, I almost always had a proper chicken house - however, I moved to New Zealand 8 years ago and in Oct I bought these 4 brown shavers. To be honest they do not have a proper chicken house and we havent had time to build one we will one day but not right this moment. We have an electric fence and a small box with a metal roof. Therefore I am looking for more information on raising chickens.
