I ordered my bees locally. I made the order in February and then picked them up last Monday. I do know that our bee shipment was postponed 3 weeks due to the late winter weather we have had here. The bee keepers said that they had a couple of packages they would sell to someone who did not...
My bees arrived today! It was so exciting placing them in their hives. This evening my husband and I walked out to the hives and all was quiet, just a few bees were peeking out the little entrance.
If I would have waited just one more day, he would've told me himself. I just went out to check on my chick's and he is crowing! Well, attempting to crow anyway. :)

Oh My! That is beautiful! I am thinking I just want it to be a light mossy green. I have started some wildflowers and am planning on setting them out around the hives before the bees arrive.
I am having a problem with my rooster, having a problem with my little girl. She is 10 and I have been letting her help me with my hens. (She is Never alone with any of my chickens.) My rooster does not like her handling my hens. So, I have stopped having her help, but he is still acting as...
