    I've been searching on here for my answer, but it is getting dark and I still haven't found it. My yr old hen just hatched her first 2 eggs!! Hooray! Won't my other hen go after the chicks? Do I need to move the mama and chicks? Thanks!

    I have one chick out, and one chick with half the shell stuck to its back still, but almost out. The first one is about 24 hours old. It keeps walking around with its mouth open. Is this normal? Is it too hot? my temps keep going all over the place.

    I am guessing I've had another failed attempt at incubating. Day 23 and no action. I saw on here some place that a small fan from radio shack was recommended for use in the bator, along with a cell phone charger cord. But I can't find the post now. Can anyone remember the details on this? Thanks!

    Thanks! I did it! Wish I had a picture of that mean ole husky. But there's a few of the coons I'm going to be fighting with once I keep the chickens in the coop instead of the garage. I'm not sure what the laws are on killing coons in Indiana. I'll have to look into it.
