    naughty sneaky new layers!!!

I was wondering why only 4-6 hens were laying...lol. The other ladies had a hidden nest they were laying in :o!! there are nearly 20ish there. I don't know how long they've been there but a Welly has her bushy butt planted on then. No fertile eggs. These probably aren't fit for the fam to eat...

    Mr. Bobblehead needs a home!

Thank me for the rotten Rep? Come on now..lets not get hasty and strange about this. It is okay for me to want another opinion. Its obvious in this thread that you told everyone he had a wonky neck. I never wanted him as a rooster to breed. I was adopting him, I don't want or care for fertilized...

    Mr. Bobblehead needs a home!

Well I'm not sure that's the case. She says she has raised chickens for 8 years now and she still doesn't believe its Mareks. But all of her birds ar vaxxed for it and I chose not to vax for it. I am a new chicken mama(22 weeks now), but after some hasty research ..to me it looks like Mareks...

Because if he has Mareks or a genetic disorder he could pass it on to the chicks he fathers and she doesn't want sick chicks

Okay that is interesting. I didn't know that about the Ameraucana eyes. See I don't vax my chickens so bring in that possibility is contagious is nerve wracking! Eep! I really hope its not the case. He is so darn sweet. He loves seeing me! Since you raise them, can you show me a pic of another...

    Mr. Bobblehead needs a home!

After asking and researching it looks like I may have got a bum deal! He may have Mareks Disease (ocular) his eye is gray and the other is amber . If this is the case it really sucks because its so contagious and I am new to chickens so I didn't thing to quarantine ..just put him right in. Hope...

    Mr. Bobblehead needs a home!

I think roo. He looks and even feels different than my hens. May be his diet though. He is pretty thin compared to my girls who free range. He has pointy feathers in back instead of round. I'm asking a group about his bobbly head. Someone said oy could be a sight issue

    bobble head

Today I adopted a rooster. He is 14 weeks old and his head just bobbles and wobbles all around. The bobble started at 2weeks old. He was vaxxed at 2 days old. Could this be a side effect from the vax? It sounds like what they actually vaxxed for AEV. After 12 weeks of bobble...could he infect...
