Thank you for all the replies.. here are 3 photos of my flock.. 2 are missing but they are for sure females (watched them lay eggs).. either I am blind or I see no rooster..
I will posts photos later today.. and no she does not have the chick or a photo.. I am holding she had someone else's eggs. Because I have no birds that crow. Ever. And we have had them for a year (since they were chicks!)
I don't know what to do.. I have given away eggs for free to a coworker who uses them for dog food..
Ok here is the problem.. I must have a rooster.. because she cracked an egg and there was a baby chick in there (very small and not even developed)..
Anyway here is my problem.. I don't know...
Update for all...
This is the end of this posting.. our poor chicky died on the way to the vets.. we still kept going to get a necropsy done just to know if I did anything wrong because I blame myself so so much right now..
Come to find out our poor girl had a ceca fall out at her young...
So an update for anyone following... She is still lethargic today.. which is now.. day 6? Maybe 7? She does eat a lot and drinks when offered.. she wants to constantly be with me now.. and she literally coos and chirps all the time..
Her thing stays in for a while but every time she poos it...
She does eat and drink when offered.. but her crop is always fluid filled.. which is why I am lead to the impaction.. if this goes on much longer though I don't want to keep having her in pain and stressed and away from her chickymates.. I know she is sad which is why she clings to me..
No.. they all just got their big girl feathers maybe a week ago? And were going to be outside then this happened now everyone is on quarantined until we know this isn't contagious since I have 21 bigger hens already outside.. but no.. no grit.. no soil.. only chick feed and water..
Still the same.. but this morning I noticed her full crop.. and that thing hanging out I just don't know if it is poop or not.. it won't get any clearer it simply looks grey.. and we can see her full vent around the thing.. we are thinking impaction maybe?? I am so worried about her.. I don't...
This is the cleanest it gets.. I am not sure you can see it.. but we can see her vent all the way around this green thing.. and the green thing is pliable but was hard this morning.. after soaking it became soft and pliable again.. her crop is water filled or very squishy.. and anytime you...
