I appreciate both of you trying to help me figure this out. I can't understand it. Something must be going on inside that just dropped her. I will be surprised if she makes it through the night.
Her comb and wattle are still red like always. No swelling and her eyes are actually really clear when she opens them. She's definitely not got paralysis because she used her feet to let me know to back off.
That's what I don't understand. She's a big chicken, maybe 8 lbs. No symptoms and none of the others are acting different. The weather has been really nice here so the girls are out in the yard all day. No mold anywhere and they eat a mix of stuff. Flock raiser, oats, black oil sunflower seeds...

The bottom of the shoes can be open so that she can roost. I wouldn't keep them in her during the day since night seems to be the only time there's a problem.
