    Thank you everyone for all the help! I blocked in the nests for 2 nights and lo and behold the silly things just jumped up and started roosting! I love my chickens but I don't understand them sometimes! Lol

    Thanks they are well above the nests for sure. And they perch on them sometimes during the day so I think I might just have to block the nests at night to make them use the roosts.

    Thanks! Yes I guess I will just have to keep the nests blocked at night and keep placing them on the roost until they get the hint! Maybe the ones who are laying will want to start anyway

    I wish! No it is only the 6 new ones now so no one to learn from but plus side is they also aren't bottom of the pecking order

    They are all sleeping in the nests and now 2 are laying eggs as well. They are honestly a bit silly.

    My 6 month Amerucana seems to have crowed yesterday.... I attached a picture and I think the feathers look like a male? I ordered female only but I know it isn't 100% perfect. Any suggestions on how to find a good home for him? I live in southeast PA. Thanks for any help!

    Thank you! I was a little worried that her feet arent working but might just be she is weak! Seems to be perking up a little so I will try some nitro drench as well. Cant hurt the others!
