What Electric Fence to get for Chicken Tractor (Movable Coop)?
The ground wire does not need to be insulated. Just the wire with the live current except for where you want it to be exposed to provide the shock. And Paramark IMHO does make the best charger. As I showed in the link that is what I use for my main charger. But the little Yellow jacket works...- MSITHero

Electric Netting is great
Are you guys doing this for a PERM fencing solution or temp as you move it around? If perm I can only say that type of setup would cost you a lot more then you need to pay... My advice for people looking to go electric. Go to your local feed/tractor store. The staff can give you the best solution.- MSITHero

Someone PLEASE talk to me about electric fence and kids!!!
AS has been said it will not hurt your kids... Scare them... YOU BET! Also all chargers are now PULSING chargers. So even if they GRAB the wire they will get one hit let go and scream. OK guys I have a decent size (100ac) horse ranch and use electric fencing. Been using electric for most my life. You DO NOT NEED cable the gauge and with the insulation of a car battery cable. I use one very large charger that will cover a 50 mile range...- MSITHero
