Egg turner was off on Nurture right. Do I worry yet?

How did your hatch turn out? You may already have figured this out, but the NR360 counts down days to hatch from 21. The turner automatically turns off at 3 days until hatch. Edit--...and stays off until you reset the machine.

Hello! I live in Reno, Nevada & have 3 Silver Appleyards (2 females) I need to rehome. They are 9 months old, healthy & have been laying straight through the winter. Anyone interested?

Hi there! We have 3 Silver Appleyards, 1 drake & 2 hens. The drake has beautiful coloring & we'd like to let the hens set eggs but one of them has a dark bill. Is it inadvisable to breed her? Here they are today at 20 weeks.

Vetericyn is a great product for cleaning & protecting wounds, Calleigh. Good for birds, dogs, cats, etc. : )

my baby duck got attacked by my dog

Ok, so about 3 1/2 weeks. He may not need a lot of heat once he warms up and the shock wears off a bit. Make sure he can get away from the heat from the lamp if he wants to, ok?

Hi Calleigh, I'm new at this, too, but I'd guess you should separate him. He's had quite a bad day and needs to be calm. Plus, sometimes birds will pick at wounded birds and he doesn't need that for sure.

Thanks for a great article! I'll be using this bedding in my new duck house soon. Currently using sand in the chicken coop & run with great results. I rake & scoop the run every few days, add a couple bags occasionally and completely change out the sand once a year in the Spring. Is it the same...
