I use lime, but only lime from FIRST SATURDAY LIME.
Works great. No respiratory issues, no parasites. I keep a tire full outside under our run-in so the coop doesn't get all covered in dust. I also put a small amount in each nest box for mite prevention. Love this product! So do my chooks.

Yeah, I know they lay large white eggs.I didn't specifically buy leghorns. I got 6 fancy breed(ha-ha on me!) I ended up with 5 white hens and 1green egg layer that got really sick this past spring.
