They haven't really laid what I would consider good since last fall/late summer and they were all 1yo this past March. Gonna try a different brand of feed and see what happens. They do get lots of table scraps as well.
I know there was some negative press on Tractor Supplies Producers Pride Layer feed back a year or so ago.

I have a blue 25 gallon water barrel with the watering cups.
I'm getting back residue inside the barrel on the walls....assuming it's some type of mold.

What are some of you planting/having luck with in your chicken run that chickens will not destroy within first week.
Some for shade/protection and others to nibble on from time to time but not a source of everyday feed.
