I’m a first time chicken mom and my little pullets are 2 month old now. We handled and played with them since we got them a few days old. Now when I go into the run, all 6 of them are running to me and start pecking my shoes or pull my laces. One of my Ameraucanas always comes...
😂 I wish I was that lucky. I ended up with most likely two cockerels instead of the pullets we were dreaming about 🥰
Hopefully they are nice tempered since one can stay. I love the look of lavender Orpington roosters 😊

I’m a complete newbie to chicken and proud owner of 4 RIR, 2 Ameraucana ladies and 2 lavender Orpington cockerel(?).... still pretty unclear though...
My daughter wanted something to earn money with and also a pet. So chicken it was lol
Luckily we still got 6 lovely little chicks...
Thank you! They are so different though in their behavior. One is sweet with my girls, lays and cuddles with them and the other one seems almost jealous and protective of his “brother”. I will keep one of them. Hopefully 6 ladies are enough for him :)

I know that question came up so often already and I read (I guess) most of them. But I’m still confused what to think of my 6 week old lavender Orpingtons. They both have pretty large, pink combs (which screams roo) but no waddles in sight.... one is slightly larger than the other...
