City girl all my life and @ the age of 63, moved to the country. Finally....my dream of raising chickens is realized! I love everything about them, well almost. Who loves poop? And they don't care if they step in it! Oh well. I had no idea that there was so much to know about them. It's a bit overwhelming. When I first got them as chicks, I worried about everything and still had 5 out of 9 die. Now I worry even more, but they are becoming layers now and I can get a little sleep. I am thankful for this site. I will be on it all the time to learn from you experienced angels. All I need now is for my little babies to survive me until I get educated. Thank you all.
