    Noticed one of my Silkie chick's heads looked different this evening. Is this normal, or has this one been pecked? They seem to get along fine. They're growing so fast!

    Silkie chicks are growing up!

    They are about 4-6 weeks old. They have a brooding lamp about 4 feet above them. They sleep touching, but not totally huddled up. They are becoming more tame, with lots of time spent with them. They've been fun!

    We lost one of our chicks today. I think it was pasty butt. I cleaned all the others thoroughly, though they weren't happy about it. Poor babies! Should that be cleared up soon? And- how do I know when they need more space?
