Still hoping that she has a chance to be a pullet, but I'm doubting.. If she ends up being a he, hopefully he's very quiet! We're not supposed to have roosters where we live, but I'm not opposed to keeping one under the radar. Loud crowing, however, is not exactly conducive to secrecy!

I'm just concerned because they look so different. Does that mean one is a boy and one is a girl, or that they're just maturing at different rates?
Check how many toes the chicks have- the pure silkies should have 5 on each foot. They should also have black skin, so I'm thinking 4 is a mix. Comb type isn't too visible right now, but anything that's not a walnut comb indicates a mix as well. Hope that helps! All very cute babies!
I have 2 5 week old white crested splash polish babies. They're supposed to be sexed pullets, but one is giving me suspicions... She's starting to get a slight pink tinge to her face and wattles. Her poof is still growing in so that might be why it's so spiky-looking, but her sister's looks more...
Are you sure these are full brahma? I've never seen these colors before. At 3 months I would expect to start seeing male specific feathering, so check for pointy saddle and hackle feathers coming in. Other than that, nothing screams cockerel to me.

Wing sexing is inaccurate for most breeds of chickens- only breeds that are specifically bred to be wing sexable can be accurately sexed by feathering. Additionally, "Americana" isn't a real breed, it's a fancy name for the easter egger cross (a mutt chicken bred to produce colored eggs). The...
