I did not take him out of his shell because when he lifted his head I was able to see yolk. I tried giving him some sugar water. Shortly after his stopped moving. It's been 30 minutes and no movement from him can't tell if his heart his beating or not.
Pretty sure he passed.
My Muscovy has eggs one pipped yesterday has soon as it's beak came out my Muscovy Mama broke open the shell. The duckling has been in half a shell for 24 hours and is still alive. The bleeding stopped but I don't know if I should help it out or not. Would it have absorbed the yolk yet?
I don't...
I have a Muscovy with 6 eggs due to hatch Friday. Yesterday one started to pip. My hen broke open the egg and carried it out of the nest. The duckling is still alive and the bleeding has stopped but I am not sure what to do. Do I leave it in the shell or take it out of the shell?
