Made my own duck diaper *directions added*

I am absolutely going to make this for the next duckling I keep!! We have three Muscovy hens and a drake and we breed them. The babies sell really quickly and the girls have kept us very busy. I also just brought three goslings so I don't have time to raise any of our currently incubating...

My girls are still new to it all. They only turned 1 last month. Shazzy was making nests before she was even laying lol and is a brilliant mumma. This is her third clutch. Sammy (girl I've just given eggs too) has only hatched 1 clutch and it was disastrous! She fiercely protected her eggs and...

They seem to sell before they've even hatched here! We've been very lucky in that department. It's only her second hatch so it's a gamble giving her so many but I was about to sell a dozen and she already had 2. Fingers crossed some will be clear lol and if not, we'll cope :-)

I know, it'll be hectic! One of my other girls has been broody as sin for a week now so yesterday I caved and gave her 14 eggs to sit on. She was pulling her sister off her nest quite violently and trying to take eggs from under her so I figured I'm already up the creek, why not throw out the...

Question - I candled said sweet girls eggs yesterday because she was on 18 and to be honest, I was hoping some were clear lol. Only 1 was and 1 other, I noticed, has a loose/detached air sac. I've moved that 1 to the bator as it is still alive and growing. Previously when the girls have brooded...

So spring is firing up here. The incubator is full, my sweet girl is on 16 healthy eggs and my poor girl who's now being left out is champing at the bit to brood! It shall be busy here in November :)

Sorry to hear about your chicken. They become a part of the family don't they :) I say duck lol. II'm only about to hatch my first pet chickens but have had my Muscovies for a while now. I love them. Such big personalities :-)

Quick question. My girls have just started mating and laying again after hatching a clutch each. Hkw many days eggs should I dispose of before I can start collecting them for incubation? All three hens ate the chick starter crumble with their babies which they went off about a week ago.

So gang.... I am getting some Pekin Bantam eggs to incubate and I have to admit, I'm pretty darn excited!!! As pets we've only had our Muscovys, and after researching different chook breeds there are about 6 that I want lol. What breeds do you all have a soft spot for??

Really? Lucky you lol. Two of my girls have done it since not long after they got feathers. Maybe 3-4 months old. They're just about to turn 1 year old and they still do it daily. Crazy ladies :)
