My girls love it! My EE and SS (top left hand corner) know exactly what to do with it. They roll it with their beak or with their feet. The other girls just wait for the goodies to fall out.

our EE is broody just now.. usually she wont let you near her... but while shes broody you can pick her up no flapping or anything.. you can also stick your hand under and grab the eggs out from under her(2 today, neither of them were hers).. she just snorts as shes pecking and gives you a dirty...
2 out of 4, but the easter egger is all broody and wont get off the nest that another one was wanting to lay her egg in.. the EE was sitting on the 2 eggs, neither of them were hers..
well, its summer here, but in the garden we have year round crops leak, broccoli, welsh onion ( spring onion tops with leek like stalks)
theres more.. just cant remember lol =]

the hens here love to chase hail stones when its hailing.. till they get too big, then they hide under the truck and grab any that bounce into their reach
just wheat, layers mash, baked eggshells and some dogfood (the sausages in the plastic) and food scraps and gardening bugs and anything they can find in the quarter acre town section.. usually alot of worms and slaters (woodlice)
