    I guess I want to be neurotically careful with my current hens (especially a few favorites!) so I've always done the quarantine thing for at least 4 weeks when adding new members. I guess I'm concerned that eggs (and chicks especially) will bring some disease to my flock and decimate my lovely...

    I have a broody hen and am seriously considering buying some fertile eggs (no rooster at home) to put under her... I can't easily separate her and would be chicks from the rest of my flock. Is it a bad idea to try to hatch eggs under her? And are there disease concerns for my other adult birds...
