    Long story short, a rooster and his lady friend were given to a family member. This would be his third home. He has not been very friendly with the ladies since arriving, not trying to mate, more bullyish (jumping on them, stomping on them, scratching at their backs while standing on top etc..)...

    I suppose its worth a try. We recently built more "private" boxes & he squeezed inside! We were having an issue with the hens laying in random places but now I wonder if they were trying to hide the eggs from him? Thank you for the suggestion

    That's what I was afraid of :( Im just not sure she will have much quality of life if this a permanent issue (which is what it looks like). I won't be able to let her in with the rest of my flock without fear of her being bullied or killed. Im also not sure if this deformity will affect her...

    Yes. She was the only one of 3 females my drake had an interest in and we were hoping to hatch ducklings. My son named the ducks so he was upset. I want to make sure the others are safe before we add any others.
