Thank you everyone for your kind words. I’m hoping his buddies will be ok and not miss him too much. He had 2 drake friends who he was particularly close with, but at least those 2 still have each other -

Today my 1 year old khaki Campbell drake, Griffin, unexpectedly passed away. When I came home I found him weak and unable to move except for his head. His eyes were watering. I tried tube feeding him electrolyte but he died shortly after that. I’m pretty sure the tubing didn’t kill him - I’ve... -

Hatching cracked duck eggs - 1 failure and 1 still alive
They’re mixed laying breeds. I always mist and cool my eggs and I get a great hatch rate - but maybe I shouldn’t have since it was cracked. I’m not going to mist this 2nd egg🤞- My15Ducks

Ducks Pipped Early!
My ducks usually hatch on day 27, but I have had them hatch on day 26 and day 28. My temperatures are correct, and they will even hatch on day 26 under the mama duck, so it’s not my incubator. -

Hi, I have some broody ducks who have accidentally cracked a couple eggs. One egg was cracked on day 6. It had a small dent and some cracks around the dent. Ducklings externally pipped over 24 hours ago!
Ducks take a long time to hatch. I have had some that take slightly longer than 48 hours to hatch after external pip. Most take 24-48 hours- My15Ducks
