    oh my gosh thats terrible. I've never experienced that because we use one hen that we trust but now you've scared me from trying anyone else. I'm sorry that happened to you :(

    i agree with Mrs. K, this is a good method! I've used it and it works great. what I usually do, is I let them all free range together for a few days. they see each other but don't really even go near each other. now, I don't know if this would work for everyone's chickens but it works perfectly...

    thank you so so much!! yeah, i was thinking cornish cross because they are quick and I just wanted to experiment and get a little bit of chicken in my freezer for a start. again, thank you for the advice, it really helps!
