    Bluetooth Door

We purchased the Run-Chicken solar door off of amazon. It utilizes an app that runs on bluetooth for programming, manually opening/closing. The issue with the bluetooth is you have to be really close for it to work. Ideally I'd love to be able to use it from our house. Does anyone have any...

Time change is affecting my chickens

My chickens are doing the same thing this week. Each day since DST between 2-4 hens and the rooster are locked out. It's plenty dark, not sure why they're not going in as they're use to. Frustrating!

    First Winter

We keep their food and water inside the coop. The waterer is nipple style and will be heated. The nest box is on the west side of the coop which were we live will be protected the most from wind. There is actually a little bit of a lip over the boxes so hoping it will be good.

    First Winter

We plan on keeping that window shut in winter. They do have roof and eave ventilation. We thought about putting straw bales around the open area under the coop as well as building a straw wind break near their door/ramp.

    First Winter

Hi everyone. We are new to chickens. Our girls are currently 5 months old. I'm concerned about their first winter here in central Ohio. - We live up on a hill where it gets pretty windy. Here is our current set up. It is uninsulated. - Their window faces west and their roosting bar is on that...
