My rooster has hurt his beak to the point that it looks like the whole beak is almost ripped off, but was still holding on one side. I looked up what to do and put some neosporin on it and read about using super glue, but the break is so far up and starts right under one "nostril." It happened...
Now that mine are 16 weeks, I'm saying they had two roos and a hen. My roos started growing there combs by 8 or 9 weeks. My hens comb is just now starting to grow. These are my roos at 12 weeks.

So the roosters can have their own coop together and won't fight? I would prefer that because I really don't want baby chicks and I dont want to eat fertilized eggs.
Yes. I was thinking of asking the parent that donated the eggs, if she has another female that we could buy from her and then if we have to get another coup for the couple.
I have two cockerals and one pullet, all siblings. I am hoping to keep all three.
Do you have a lot of hens for your six roosters? Can they all sleep in the same coop?
Thank you for posting this. We just got three baby D'uccle chicks several weeks ago. Two are roosters. I do see them asserting themselves but so far not very seriously. They still cuddle when sleeping. When they were in my house, I could hear when they started to fight. I would always go over...
There are little steps winding down from the coop to the ground. Raccoons can tear the chicken wite apart? My husband put chicken wiredown into the ground and across underneath to the other side. He that that would be able to keep racoon out because they would run into the chicken wire.
