    Great - thanks a million. The farm are going to take the roo back when he is ready to leave mum and they are going to add him to their flock, so he will be well looked after. Fingers are now crossed that the 2 Sussex will be pullets. Thanks again for all your help.

    Hi, A friend of mine hatched some eggs for me, and we now have 2 Light Sussex and 2 Welsummer chicks happily being tendered by their surrogate mums. They are 3 and a half weeks now, and I know that the Light Sussex's won't be able to be sexed for a while, but I think the Welsummers may be old...
