Ok, so i just added the grow gel (and an extra Rouen duckling :) ) and i must say you have a great staff for an employee nameed Ashlee helped me theough my endless question via emaul. Thank you for advising me for the grow gel, as i do feel it was needed ;)

Yes, i notified the post office yesterday. They said they recieve livee ducks/chicks all the time so no worries there :) And of course, they are due next wednesday, so i'll post pics first thing

Wouldn't that be amazing to see your ducks hatch (i've never used an incubator). I ordered two blue swedish, two buffs, two fawn and white runners, one blue runner, and two cayugas :) I live out in the country (way out) so the pick may not be ideal, but i'll have to check for the nearest one. :)

Oops, i've allready ordered them without the grow gel. I live in oklahoma, do you think they will be ok? I sent Metzer an email asking about the heat and they said the bird travel in air conditioned trucks and planes so its not a problem.......

Hello, has anyone here ever ordered from Metzer Farms? I just ordered 2 swedish blues, 2 cayugas, 2 fawn and white runner, 1 blue runner, and 2buff ducks. Do they often arrive dead, and if they do will they ship you new ones?

Do you guys know what to use for a pond liner? I was thinking a heavy duty tarp because money is tight right now. Has anyone tried that?

Well, I'm in a difficult situation because i too have a natural pond, but i seem to lose a lot of ducks to it :( Which is why i'm making a smaller one. :) I just cleaned the ducks kiddie pool today and their not touching it, they've never done that before so we will see what happens :)

What a beautiful pond! Where did you get the river stones at?d Did you purchase them in bulk? And another issue i've ran into is how to keep the grass from growing through the rocks? How did you accomplish this? Tomorrow i will go out and take some pics for you guys to see! :)

Your welcome, :). All that sounds very fancy, is it hard to install? I've researched pond vacuums, which appear to be the same thing as pool vacuums, so maybe after i drain it i could suck up the muck from the bottom? That sounds so much easier but i'm a noob, so who knows lol!

Oh, sorry to hear about your wife, hope she like the pond! :) And wow! That is one beautiful pond, as is your ducks! I love how you did the rocks, did you order those? But what exactly is a skimmer and a vacuum filter? Thanks, 8-)
