    My broody Serama also was on and off the nest. On for 2 weeks, off for 3 days. She is back on as of yesterday. She is sitting on golf balls which I plan to swap for day old chicks. I hope this works!

    Thanks for the replies. She will be raising California Whites so they may be on the smaller side. I will give it a try. Depending on the weather, I may end up using the brooder box.
