I have always been an animal person, but never thought I would be a bird person with an actual bird as a pet. Then one day I read up on chickens as I thought for egg purposes I could get them for my hobby farm. I met a silkie chicken breeder, and raised some chicks. Sadly, 3/4 where in fact males so I gave those back to the breeder who finds homes for her roosters. But one of the chickens had such a good bond with me I didn't care the gender. I still am not 100% sure the gender so scarlet turned to Scara. And I got I still think him a friend who the breeder thought was female. Soon as I am able I plan yo get more splashes as they are to beautiful not to have! And silkies when you start training them as chicks are rather smart animals.
