The combs on these guys appear crazy early. I have 2 mille that are 10 weeks, but I still can't figure it out! One had bright comb appear at 4 weeks, the other one's was not so bright, and came a bit later, but has since caught up. One tries to fight all the time, the other is more calm and...
They are 9 weeks old. They are super sweet, and hardly make a peep...so far. Their combs came earlier than the eggers (around 4 weeks), so I assumed they would grow up to be roosters. Any ideas?
His name is Penguin, and I do want to keep him, you are correct, what a sweetheart! Plus, he has gorgeous teal feathers growing in! I have 8 chicks, and I ended up with 4 hens and 4 roos. I wish there was a way to put them all together, because I dont have the energy for more than 1 coop.
