I'm not even convinced that IS a bird's nest, lol.. although, I have seen Wrens make a nest similar to this one, they often appear as a pile of junk. That said, I'm sort of wondering if that is a scavenger nest of some sort, like a rat, weasel(?)or some other animal that needed a place to bed...

hmm... not really sure.. she's a production red adult laying hen, mayby 5 lbs?.. i was able to remove the "corm" last night & cleaned with Vetericyn, put Neosporin on a gauze pad and wrapped it back up.. ill check her when my husband gets home.. so not sure yet how it progressed.. very little...
im wondering how that worked out for your duck, i have a chicken im wanting to dose, i have 500 mg caps and could divide by weight on a gram scale.. im aware this is an older post, im mostly curious what you ended up dosing him at & how it worked out?

He looks a little similar to the gorgeous boy we have only more colorful... I can't post a pic just now but my guy was billed as a black maran pullet a few weeks old when aquired. When the hackles came out I knew better, he's not a pullet & he's no black maran either...
