    I started some on March 17 and lockdown was on Tuesday. I had a baby Blue Orpington chick hatched while ago and found 4 more pipping..I have 2 Lemon Cuckoo Orp eggs pipping.. Here is a pic of the first one..

    Well it is Monday morning and my bator is still at 99 degrees and humidity been around 31 -33 % . My room temp is 72 along with humidity being between 51% to 60% because it has been raining here at my house for 3 days now. So everything looking good for now..

    If you need to build humidity in your room,this is what I do..I have a mason jar full of water sitting on one of the electric candle burners..sitting right next to my hoverbator..as the water evaporates..just add hot water to it. Here is a pic of it..

    Oh yea..I got another one..don't put the baby chicks on slick paper !! I used that plastic gripper pad that ya put under carpets..cleans well too cuz it has holes in it..it lets the chicks run around without slipping and sliding around..lol..     Number one rule after lockdown..do not open the top or you will kill your chicks..they will stick to the membrane inside the egg..

    In my Hovabator I have 14 Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons, 6 Olive Eggers, 2 Production Reds, and 5 of my BBS Orpington eggs.. at 98 degrees,33% humidity in the bator and 21 days to go..My room temp is 72 degrees with 50% humidity. So I am hoping to have a good hatch..Had a great hatch last time doing...
