- I started my homestead with six chicks from Tractor Supply and now I have thirty-something chickens. I just hatched some silkies and will hatch some of my Cornish Cross' eggs soon. I want to be a part of the BackYard Chickens community because I come here a lot for help and information on how to raise my chickens.
