    What do I do with this 10 month hen whom I do not have a roo to swoon? We are in the Mid-Tenn area, and I have no idea what to ask for her.

    Hen attacked by raccoon. Blind and acting strange

    My rooster was attacked by something. Has some chunks bitten out of his lower back. He is acting strange and crowding me. I'm afraid that he thinks that I'm a threat, but not sure. I had to put down the last rooster that became agressive, and I don't want to do that unless absolutely...

    Marans Owners -- anything "bad" about this breed?

    Love the Marans. They can be friendly if handled. Eggs and hens always sell well. Nothing bad to report.
