I’m so late in replying but absolutely! These materials were from a dock building company. What they didn’t use went into the dumpster. What a waste but it built basically our entire setup!

I’m late replying but we did something similar to this to make use of the area and extend the run. Unfortunately we can’t fully free range so we added a “play pen” that we can move around but only if someone is out with them. We have hawks all around us.
I’m sort of dealing with this. I have six but with plenty of room. Unfortunately I found one of mine with her head pecked at so she’s recovering alone before I allow them into their grassy area all together.
I believe it’s only one bully so I may just quarantine her instead.
I absolutely LOVE your setup! We’re taking out our ladder roosts because it most definitely didn’t work for us. Not at all. Basically they crowded the top and the ones underneath were covered in nightly poo.
But I’m loving your setup!
My chickens would think they’re in Disney World! This is amazing. I am still a new chicken owner and “mother hen” to 6 wonderful little creatures. I always wondered why they would obsess over roots! Again, love what you’ve done.
