This isn't my bird, The search said it's Dragon bloodline. These scales are huge compared to the ones I'm looking for but closest thing I 've found so far
Those guys are quite strange but intriguing at the same time but the ones I am looking for have uniform scales like "normal" chickens just larger and seem to come to a point down the center of the leg. Almost like reinforced armor scales
This may be a silly question but what breed has raised scales on their legs? (Naturally that is) I think it's a aseel or something like that. Seen pictures before but I can't seem to find them now. Thank you in advance
Man yall get serious about your Chickens! Lol But in all reality the "True Breeders" who dont sell their eggs and bash those who do cant really claim their birds are top of the line until they go into the pit, but thats illegal so youll never know. At least their purdy tho

I live in Florida and have pine trees everywhere so I use actual pine needles in my coops. They enjoy eating the tips where theres a bit of sap. Cheap as it gets lol

To make things easier, I cull birds hatched after June 1. Makes for easier comparisons in fall. It is my opinion the spring hatched birds are better than summer hatched. Difference is environmental...

I recently had the same thing happen to one my free range roos, I applied New Skin antiseptic after cleaning the injured toe. I found it stuck better if I gripped the toe tightly with a cotton rag for 10 secs or so then immediately applying the new skin, so the blood doesnt wash it away. Glad to...
