I will get pics of her today when I get home. Its hard to get pics of her poop bc she's in a brooder box with 9 others. I do take food & water away at night, I have for almost a week & there has been no change in her crop. Thats the puzzling part to me too, bc she's definitely still active &...
I tried coconut oil, she wouldn't eat it. The other chicks loved it but she showed no interest at all. She's pooping fine from what I can tell. Her vent is clean, the poop is not runny or a weird color, it looks normal. My aunt told me to make her a crop bra to help it drain? Would that actually...
I will gets some pics tomorrow. They do have access to food & water 24/7 right now, a heat plate & a bowl of grit. Ive tried pulling her food/water & checking her in the morning, there was no change, it was still full.
Its been almost a week & she still has the swollen chest & it hasn't gone down at all. She seems to be okay, she's walking, eating, drinking, she will let me hold her. Im not sure what to do at this point.
I've put a small bowl of grit in with them & tried the crop massage too. Ive had someone tell me to put a little olive oil in her water. Is that good or bad advice?
Still pretty large. A little more squishy than it was yesterday but definitely didn't go down any. I added probiotics to the water this morning. Shes moving around just slow going.
Yes, I check all 10 regularly to make sure the vents are clean. Shes good there. She has been drinking & eating a little, she's gotten to where she doesn't move around alot though.
Yes I plan to do that. But in the event that it doesn't help I'd like to go ahead & have ideas for what I need to be able to treat her quickly. She's already been this way for 2 days & I dont want her suffering.
Hi everyone! I have a 2 week old chick that has a very swollen, squishy lump on her chest. Its been like this for 2 days now. Anyone know what it could be or what I can do about it? I have 9 other chicks & none of them have whatever this is. Shes eating, drinking & walking fine, they were...
