    What breed? (PICS)

She's a green legged hatch American Game....standard size. I have one just like her at home - they are slow to mature and ours just reached her full size this spring at nearly a year old. They are very sweet, but smart as a devil. Ours weighted only about 3 pounds until this spring when she...

Review by '' on item 'American Game'

We ended up with a game by accident - it turned out to be a wonderful mistake. Our hen is very loving towards us, likes to snuggle. She becomes very jealous if we hold or pet other hens (or our roos) and will attack them. Despite this, she is generally friendly with the others and likes to spend...

Ours is a white Langshan roo - he's a fantastic rooster, but it took him a long time to mature mentally....his "teenage" days seemed a little long. Has always been gentle with us and the girls. Despite his huge size, he's a capable runner and can jump quite high. Gentle giant.

Our girl is friendly and very easy to handle, but definitely likes to go about her business according to her personal routine (and she definitely has one!) She likes to peck others when they interfere with what she is doing (whether it's another hen or a roo).

Our Black Star is a super layer, she is very clever, and VERY curious. She is quick to come up to us and join the group, but she is also very flighty and a bit nervous. We bought her as a pullet from a local farmer who had a large flock - so she had not has as much one on one human...

Review by '' on item 'Australorp'

Our Australorp is our flock's head hen and she does a wonderful job. She is calm and dignified, keeps everyone else in line without being aggressive. Though she is a tad aloof, she is the only hen in our flock who is friends with everyone without exception.

Friendly breed, not only with people but also with other chickens. Ours had a "best friend" who is an extremely flighty and nervous bird, she does a wonderful job of calming her down.

    Two Roosters Together?

Hi Maria, I was wondering how your rooster situation is? We are in the exact same situation now and I am curious to see if yours has worked out. Our two guys have been best buds since day one.....usually dust bathing and sleeping together. Two weeks ago there was a major fight, and one of my...
