    Our first molt

Thanks all, it seems they are all barely eating, my buff seems to be eating more but that’s just when I am looking. I took one of my girls out today and cleaned up her foot (she was holding it up and I was worried she had bumble, thankfully ok!) and she felt so skinny. Do they usually lose...

    Our first molt

Hi everyone, this is my first year with chickens and they are molting really bad. By bd, I mean A LOT. it seems like they have no appetite. I tried giving scrambled eggs and they will eat a little but are not interested. They usually go crazy for blueberries, but now they are snubbing them...

    Bantam standing still in corner

My girl is declining rapidly. I gave her vitamins in water and she laid down and isn’t walking anymore. She didn’t even go into her coop with the rest of the flock for bed time. I called a vet but not call back yet. I fear for the morning

ok, do the vitamins need to be chicken specific? Is this something I can buy at a store? Sorry I am scared to give her the "wrong thing"

I went to get her to bring her in and get her cleaned up, she ran about two steps and collapsed and just laid there. Cleaned her up, brought her in and when I put her back she had trouble getting her footing

    Bantam standing still in corner

Here are some pictures I hope these are ok. She has not had an egg during this time either, a little over a week. I do not think she is molting. This morning there was a development, her bottom is looking poopy now, I posted a picture. This morning she is still eating, drinking, it does seem...

    Bantam standing still in corner

Hello! My bantam is a little over a year old. Normally she is walking around, talking. The last week, she will just stand frozen in the corner. She is still eating (even more than usual it seems but I am also watching her more than usual), drinking water. She is usually pretty skiddish and...

    Help with Favus

Thank you so much for your reply, I do not have a rooster but my black bird acts like a rooster. She often will jump and pin down the others and can be a bully. My gray girl is #2 so possible she might have gotten a peck injury from my black beauty. That’s not great but a relief you don’t think...

    Help with Favus

Hard to tell, my camera is not great. On my gray girl, it’s like little circles, almost like holes? She’s not letting me get a good look. My orange girl has the white spread out. On my black bird, it’s like little white circle at the top. She has always had bald spots near her beak since she was...
