Hallelujah!
At long last we have some positive news from the duck yard. Mama Zelda hatched out two very beautiful babies two days ago. One black, one brown. She still has many eggs she is sitting on. I also put an egg from my Welsh Harlequin into her clutch.
Pictures to follow.
No babies yet. I finally put the other two ducks back in with mama. All they did was yell to each other. Now they are calm. I may be getting an incubator tomorrow which will be a great help. Nothing from the eggs I’ve got in the bathroom with heat at 100 and a bathtub full of water to help the...
The fully hatched duckling was this morning. The smashed-in eggs are about one every day or every other day. I’ve taken three eggs that look like they are close to hatching and made an impromptu incubator out of a heat lamp. Misting every hour.

I have already read over a previous text regarding dead ducklings both partially and fully hatched out. Here is my story thus far:
Separated drake and second hen from broody hen after two viable eggs were caved in. Both were very close to hatching.
Yesterday found smashed in egg (ready to...
Better, thank you. I'm treating her for parasites but still don't which they are as the labs aren't available until Monday. My sister is a biology teacher and is going to help me with a float tomorrow.
She seems to be slowing down on water intake and her stools are becoming more solid...
She is a pet. Her name is Claudia and follows me around all day like a puppy. I also have a tom (a nasty one at that) who I have separated in the same pen. He's become very aggressive and will not leave her alone. She seems happier now so the plan is to keep it that way.
